The senior models of LaserJet 1320 series have more additional interfaces availables. For instance, 1320n, 1320tn and 1320nw models have an Ethernet 10/100 adapter, or even IEEE802.11g (Wi-Fi) adapter. You may or may not need all these options, it's a matter of why you buying the printer. Generally, USB and LPT ports along are OK for the most individual users and a small business. On the other hand, for large offices or workgroups a printer with network adapter is a must. Basic LaserJet 1320 model can be easily equipped by the Ethernet port, the only thing to do is buy a HP Jetdirect external print server.
On the top surface of the printer, right of the input tray, there's a control panel with three indicators ("Toner", "Attention" and "Ready") and two buttons ("Go" with own indicator and "Cancel"). The Wi-Fi version of the printer, LaserJet 1320nw, also has "Wireless" indicator.
The implementation of charge roller instead of corona wire in HP LaserJet 1320 series made it possible to cut down the ozone emissions by 99%. This innovation allowed for acceleration or warm-up time, and this resulted in use of smaller heating element and economy of energy.
