Optimized and Friendly URLs
Utilizing the "mod_rewrite" module in Htaccess allows a website owner to define variables and replace them with predefined information on a server level.

If you are looking to ban an IP address you implement the following:
order allow,deny
deny from 123.45.6.7
deny from 12.34.5.678
allow from all
This blocks the ip address of 123.45.6.7 and 12.34.5.678
If you are looking to block access to all IPs except for yours you can accomplish it this way:
order deny,allow
deny from all
allow from insert your IP
