WiMAX or Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access is a telecommunications protocol that provides fixed and fully mobile Internet access. It also includes a 3.15 mega pixel auto focus camera, 8 GB storage, 288 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM.It will be powered by Qualcomm ESM 7206A 528 MHz processor. All other basic data transfer, multimedia and navigational features are also available. Its dimensions measures 113.5 x 63.1 x 13.9 mm and weighs 151 g. MAX 4G displays a TFT resistive type of touch screen and has a 65K colors with a size of 3.8 inches, 480 x 800 pixels. It has a TouchFLO 3D navigation with finger swipe and auto-rotate for accelerometer sensor and turn-to-mute function. A proximity sensor for auto turn-off function, touch-sensitive controls navigation key and handwriting recognition, are some of this features.

It also has a speakerphone and alerts with vibration. It also features MP3 and WAV ringtones. Aside from the above, MAX 4G has Stereo FM radio with RDS, games, and messaging likes SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, and Instant Messaging. HTC MAX 4G uses Windows mobile OS 6.1 professional, thats why there will be no any scarcity of applications, themes and games that will occur. It does have a browser of WAP 2.0/HTML and this phone is available in a black color. MAX 4Gs standard battery is Li-lon 1500mAh which can reach up to 350 hours if stand-by and not use and only 7 hours if use during talk-time.

HTC MAX 4G is said to be look alike with the HTC Touch HD. The only difference is the screen size and data networks supported. Many network carriers in India, as discovered, dont support 4G and only 3G itself was started few times back only. So HTC MAX 4G maybe, is not worth as they could use of its possibilities unless they already support 4Gs at the time that the phone will be launched in the country. If this will successfully happen, there would be no problem for HTC to launch MAX 4G in India, so as to acquire another large market for a new technology like this.
