Hua Hin is a very popular beachside resort town in Thailand. Located approximately 200 kilometers away from the capital city of Bangkok, the town attracts numerous locals and tourists looking to relax and enjoy Thailand's seaside beauty. As a result, the Royal Waiting Room was built at the site of the town's railway station for the King. The railway station is one of the oldest in the country. It has become a major tourist attraction in this beachside destination mainly because of its majestic Royal Waiting Room that still remains onsite. This quaint station lies along the Damnoern Kasem Road in Hua Hin and is still functioning as the railway point for the town.

The Hua Hin Railway Station has an aura of grandeur and charm. The most striking feature of the whole structure is the Royal Waiting Room that was constructed during the rule of King Rama VI. The room has a red and white pavilion structure that was built in a traditional Thai architectural design. Its construction style resembles the architectural design of the Maruekkhathayawan Palace. The room served as a waiting area for the King and his court whenever he visited the resort town of Hua Hin. This stately room was originally located at the Sanamchan Palace which served as the country home for the King in the western area of Nakhon Pathorn. The pavilion was then known as Plub Pla Sanamchan. Over time, due to the King's frequent visits to the town, the pavilion was built at Hua Hin.
