As with any corporate game, there would be good team mates and bad ones
. The latter, in particular, may be oblivious to specific actions reflecting a nasty attitude that screams, "Stay away from me." As they proceed with their daily dealings, they are totally unaware of how much their actions distance themselves from their colleagues. In time, left unchanged, it may impede their personal progress besides ruining their good standing in the workplace.
Are you such a person? Know if you are by checking if you have any or all of these negative tendencies.
"You have never tired of playing the blame game.
When things go wrong , your accusing finger never fails to do its job. So you do your best to do your job right, thus avoiding mistakes. But this does not give you the license to grill your coworkers for a fault no one really intended to make. Yes, somewhere along the way someone failed to do his job right. However, given the current situation, don't you think it would be better to maximize whatever advantages are present by finding a solution rather than blaming people? At times finding the errant coworker cannot be avoided, but be careful not to do this in public lest you humiliate people and earn yourself enemies. If you persist with this unproductive habit, expect to alienate people (coworkers, supporting staff, supervisors, etc.) in the workplace.

Nothing good can be gained from blindsiding people at work; whether a boss, colleague, or reporting staffer. At worst, expect bad blood to surface between you and the person you offend. Do not catch people off-guard by bringing up problems concerning a particular person in front of everyone during meetings. You would come across as sabotaging someone's reputation if you do, and the brunt of your attack would boomerang to you sooner or later. If you have a problem concerning a particular person, approach him directly in private. Doing it before others, especially meetings, would humiliate him. If this is your intention, then you would definitely succeed in getting on the nerves of the person you intend to malign. However, in doing so, you also mar your own reputation in front of your other coworkers. Needless to mention, the impact this would have on your image and relationships in the office would be very far from pleasing.
