Besides the detector itself, divers can also avail of specific accessories that can make any treasure hunting activity underwater more productive.

Detectors, whether for land or underwater use, are effective only when the location of the treasures has been narrowed down to the least general area. Thus, it is necessary for treasure hunters to primarily reduce the perimeter as much as possible. With the most specific site identified, the use of detectors will truly produce positive results.

It is also a necessity for one to be aware of one's level of expertise in using metal detectors if you are planning to have one for yourself. A more complicated one is meant for the experts while the beginners should go for the metal detecting device meant for the novice.
