. Hyperhidrosis should be a last resort. I recommend exploring various alternatives before even looking at drugs.
I will give some of my reasons in this article. By visiting hyperhidrosis forums you are almost led to believe that drugs are the only remedy.
If you can find something besides drugs that work, use it. You need to really investigate this! Find out as much as you can about the various drugs being touted as solutions.
Please investigate the side effects of the drugs recommended before you take them. I have yet to find a drug recommended on the forums that do not have a long list of side effects.
Also if you use drugs to stop sweating you actually run the risk of having your body overheat. As the drugs alter your body's chemistry, you actually lose the protection that sweat gives you for cooling your body. From everything I have found drugs and exercise really don't go together.
If you really look into this, these drugs were not created to treat hyperhidrosis. It was actually a side effect of the drug that they found useful in treating hyperhidrosis sufferers. Go to Wikipedia and look these drugs up. You will find that some do not even list hyperhidrosis as something they help with. In others hyperhidrosis is mentioned almost as an afterthought.
All of these drugs seem to have been created to treat something else. This should be a very last resort.
Stop Sweating and Start Living is therefore the solution I would test first! By using something natural your body will be more in tune with itself.
You can keep drugs in your toolkit for treating hyperhidrosis, just keep it at the bottom of the list. I would explore other remedies first.
