At its most basic level Hypnosis is the accepting of a suggestion

* Self-hypnosis
It is often not realised that since you are accepting the suggestions and allowing them entry to your mind, you are in fact hypnotizing yourself! In truth, all hypnosis or suggestion is actually self-hypnosis.
* Clinical
The power of this tool can be used in virtually all areas of your life where improvement is desired. Here, the power of suggestion is utilised to assist in a range of topics.
These include smoking cessation, losing weight, pain management, and the elimination of irrational fears ad phobias.

* Group
In terms of effectiveness, this is not as productive as an individual session. However, it does have the benefit of being far more affordable.
Group sessions tend to be used for smoking cessation, weight loss or stress reduction.
A particular benefit of this approach is the group support as well as feeling less self-conscious.
Individual sessions however can be tailored to the client whilst Group sessions by necessity can only be delivered in a specific way.

For many people this is their first experience of this subject usually through a stage show or watching on the television.
Remember though, the emphasis here is on entertainment not on solving problems. It is a show not a therapy.

This is a growing field with increasing specialisation and sophisticated methods being adopted. The use of various experiences sight, sound, smell, and taste is accessed through your subconscious mind.

This is a fascinating area and developing particularly through its usage within police services across the world.
