It has been two years since he was sent aboard as the sales manager of a branch office
. And it gradually become a habit of mine to go to the specialty shop of the Cartier jewelries where we met for the first time and have a look at the new type that has been put on sale. Every time I see those shining jewelries which perfectly combine elegance and fashion, I cant help myself thinking of his words that when he comes back, he will propose to me with a piece of that jewelry, which can best bear the testimony to his sincere love.

There being still four years left, my friends and parents don't regard it a good idea to wait for him. In their words, youth is so precious a gift life grants women and I am just taking the risk of trust him totally. They have also told me stories, in which long distance and time is the killer of love and two people who are once deeply in love may turn out to be strangers. Besides, it is know to everyone that people change with time, and I may have no idea whether the guy I have been waiting for may change into somebody I don't like.
This I admit that it is reasonable, but every time I think of the time I have spent with him, all of which were full of joy and laughter, I say to myself that he is a guy worth waiting for.
To tell the truth, I used to be a kind of person who hates waiting, for I thought it a waste of time waiting for someone when I was able to do thing on my own. So I am regarded as independent since I was in primary school, tending to do things quickly and perfectly by myself and avoid the trouble of asking somebody else to help, thus saving the time of waiting for others.
While now, after waiting for him for one and a half years, I begin find the interest in waiting. As you are waiting, you have a goal in your heart and something you are looking forward to. You can count on the days happily to approach that very special day, thus never feeling dull.
I will never have any regrets waiting for him, for I trust him. And he is the veryman Iwould like toaccept the Cartier ring from. Besides, it is so good having something to wait in your life.
