If I Have Sex On The Last Day Of Ovulation, Will I Get A Boy
?I get variations on this question quite a bit. Yesterday, I had a woman email me and ask, in part: "If I wait until the last day of my ovulation to try to conceive and I am successful in getting pregnant, does this 100% guarantee that I will have a boy baby?" With natural gender selection, it's hard to promise 100% guarantees since you can't see what's going on inside of your reproductive tract. In my observation, only gender selection clinics promise these types of claims. But, having intercourse on the tail end of ovulation and on the day following it does increase your chances of having a boy baby. However, if you want to do all you can to ensure that you get a son, there are a few other things that you might want to consider. I will discuss this more in the following article.
Why Conception At The End Of Ovulation Does Increase The Changes That You'll Have A Boy Baby: If you're reading this article, then you already have a good idea of the timing needed when you want a son. But do you know why this is true? The reason is that Y sperm chromosomes (which produce boys) do not survive in the reproductive tract for as long as the X sperm chromosomes (which produce girls.)So, waiting to have intercourse until you are sure that the egg has already been released gives these Y's their best chance. Because if you forced them to wait needlessly for the egg (by having sex before ovulation) then you risk the chance of lessening their numbers as more and more of them begin to die off or become too weak to fight for the egg. (By the way, you'll want to make absolutely sure that whatever method that you are using to detect ovulation is absolutely accurate. That's why I like predictors that measure bodily fluids since there is less room for error this way.)Waiting until you know for certain ovulation has occurred is one way of making sure that there are mass numbers of Y sperm present when the egg is the most healthy and ready to be fertilized. So, timing is vitally important, but it's not the only thing to be concerned about.Other Issues That You May Want To Consider If You Want A Boy Child: So it should be pretty obvious by this point that you are wanting to increase the numbers of the Y sperm chromosomes when ovulation happens and you want to decrease the numbers of X sperm chromosomes. And, just tweaking your conception timing to occur on the last day of ovulation doesn't eliminate all of the X's and it doesn't save all of the Y's. There will still almost certainly be a combination of chromosomes present at conception.So one additional thing that you can look at would be your vaginal acidity and PH. The reason for this is that Y or boy sperm do not thrive in acidic environment. In fact, this is sometimes deadly to at least some of them. So one another thing that you may want to determine is how acidic you are. (You can use testing strips for this.) And, if you fall within the acidic side, then you might want to become more alkaline to protect those Y sperm who have benefited from your careful timing. You can become more alkaline by changing your diet until you become pregnant or by using a douching regimen and continuing to test your PH throughout the whole process. You may need to make some small changes along the way.Finally, an easy way to help along the Y sperm is to use deep penetration during sex meant to result in conception. The deep penetration places the sperm chromosomes closer to their destination which helps less of those more vulnerable Y's die off during the journey. Again, this is one variable.
