Ilya Kovalchuk Ready To Take Challenge As Scorer In Right Wing

After signing a controversial 15-year $100 million contract for the New Jersey Devils

, Russian National Hockey League superstar left wing Ilya Kovalchuk is now ready to take a new challenge in his professional hockey career. In the forthcoming 2010 NHL season, Kovalchuk will be facing a big challenge on his professional hockey career as he moves from the left wing to the right wing. The move is a strategy of the Devils to make the team more competitive especially against the defending champion Chicago Blackhawks. With Kovalchuk now on the right wing, the Devils have a high-scoring line alongside reliable right wingers Zach Parise and Travis Zajac. Kovalchuk, who scored 41 goals splitting last season between Atlanta and New Jersey is expected to have another banner year in the next NHL season.
