The occupation of the donor has nothing to do with the ability of the person to donate the kidney, but once the organ is donated the person can resume work only after 2-3 weeks of rest. If you are in the kind of occupation that is physically demanding then the resting period can extent. In some cases you may experience a slight pain and swelling in the area where the surgery is carried out then you will be required to wear loose clothing so that the swell can heal quickly.
