In Colourful Shades, Mens Designer Fashion For Your Manly Shape

This season, mens designer fashion is full of exciting trends to suit all tastes from casual to flamboyant and everything in between

. There has never been so many styles to choose from. For subtle style stick with chunky cable sweaters and zip up cardigans, in natural shades like cream, chocolate, beige and brown or show a hint of your six-pack in a long sleeved tight-fitted top in a neutral colour like white, gray, black or navy. Also making a revival this season, are Aran and Fair Isle patterned knitwear but with a vibrant modern twist added to the traditional shapes and colours plus any item trimmed or lined in shearling.

The forces uniforms of the 40s and 50s are having a big influence on fashion this season from all the military style apparel to the must-have pilot style aviator jacket. You can also mix in a bit of this trend with the more casual everyday mens designer fashion. Again, the key colours for this look are mainly earthy shades like olive, khaki, beige mixed with various shade of chocolate and rich browns. Suits for men have moved away from the so-called skinny boy suit of recent years to a sleeker, smarter style that is more versatile for all ages. The new cut is, one that accents a sense of the masculine through three key silhouette elements - broad shoulders, a slim waist and slim trousers.

The sports coat or jacket is also back and great to team up with chinos or jeans for a more casual style; with double or single breasted to choose from. From classic pinstripes to traditional tweeds, to luxurious satin, soft cashmere and opulent velvet ; there is an abundance of fabrics out there this season in mens designer fashion to choose from. While velvet may not be to every mans tastes, with fashion designers including it on many of the seasons catwalks, there are alternative ways to include it in your outfit. For a more modest approach to this trend, avoid the dandy frilly shirts and long velvet coats - complete with the latest male accessory, a man brooch - and integrate it into your style in a more subtle way. Instead of a velvet suit, opt for just a waistcoat, jacket or pants worn with jeans or a blazer and choose velvet trimmed apparel like a shirt or lapels instead.
