In Montana, Satellite Internet Reigns Supreme
Though it has been a long time since many of us were using the web on a fairly regular basis
, the spread of truly high speed internet access across the country has been only a relatively recent affair. The advance of broadband has had various protagonists, and by no means has depended exclusively on the cable companies which are in any case only concentrated around our countrys bigger cities and suburban expanses. To the contrary, wireless providers have really stepped in to fill a major void left by cable, a void into which millions and millions of Americans that dont live near a town/city had previously been dragged. In states like Montana such wireless services are very welcome and appreciated, yet not all wireless internet services are equal when youre talking about the Big Sky state or any other state like it with endless acres of open land. The best of the best, the wireless internet service that undoubtedly reigns supreme in Montana and beyond, is quite clearly satellite internet.
This begs the question, whats so different about satellite internet as compared to other wireless internet services? Well, pretty much everything is different about satellite, and thats what makes it the best choice of all. The technology itself is inherently different. Satellite providers use communications satellites many hundreds of miles up into the atmosphere to relay their signals (hence the name of the industry), whereas other wireless providers use radio towers and other terrestrial stations to get their signal out across the land. The inescapable consequence of this is that the satellite internet signal spreads across a much larger space and experiences very little signal quality degradation, whereas other wireless systems can only cover a fraction of that surface area and their signal loses potency rapidly. Not only that, but the speeds of most satellite internet connections are also superior to those of typical wireless signals available out in rural zones (when they actually are available, that is), as a satellite connection can get you upwards of 3 or 4 Mbps in downloadssomething youll be hard-pressed to get from most other wireless services.
All in all, the people of this great state are very glad to have the access to information that their satellite connections afford them. This goes against the notion that many city-slickers have that the benefits of high speed internet access just arent all that pertinent in rural communities; after all, theyve got other things to do, right? Wrong! High speed internet is just as necessary in rural settings as in urban settings, in all senses, not just personally but also professionally speaking. In fact, judging by how significant the agricultural factor to our national economy is it would only make sense for us all to promote high speed access in such rural communities! And thanks to the miracle that is high speed satellite internet, we can rest assured that every last square mile of Montana and all of rural America gets smothered with truly dynamic high speed internet solutions.
