The second big issue is incorrect breathing. Oxygen is one of the primary energy sources for your body, so if you aren't breathing while you're under stress, like lifting weights, you're actually making it a lot harder on yourself and doing more damage to your muscles.
The last big impedance are adhesions. Adhesions are formed as part of a natural healing process your body goes through when your muscles are damaged. It works by using a substance called fibrin to glue and seal damage muscles back together. It starts to cause problems though when it seals to muscles together. This prevents free movement and can make you feel very stiff.
