Information About Babies Imitation Actions And Steps
As parents, do you know that, according to the scientific research
, children's imitation behaviour have four steps.
The first step, when babies are three and four months old, babies are able to do some actions such as babbling voice by themselves.
The second step, when babies are five and seven months old, babies have strong interest in people's actions and feel novel and interesting. Gradually, they would make some gesture or some sounds so as to see the new and interesting action again. During this time, babies would repeat some parts of the action, but they are unable to imitate. For example, when they saw their parents hold two building blocks at hands and hit each other, they would imitate and hit the table by something.
The third step, babies are able to imitate adult actions, but these actions imitated by them are not accurate. For example, if parents rotate toys but babies would push toys by hands so as to move them. Finally, they use their two hands to make the rotation.
The fourth step, when children are between 19 and 23 months, they can accurately imitate adults' sound or gesture.
When kids are two years old, they often have strong curiosity and always want to imitate things around them. For example, they would follow their mother behind at home and then imitate what their mother do. If their mother sweep the floor, they also do the same behaviour. What's more, they are so positive and earnest to do these actions. During this time, they always learn things or actions quickly.
At three years old, boys would admire their fathers or other big boys, therefore they always carefully observe their every behaviour and try their best to imitate their appearance and behaviour. As for toys, they are more likely to play with small truck toys, train toys and toys airplane. Sometimes, they consider their small tricycles as the cars and dressed them up the policemen to direct the traffic. Sometimes, they use the building blocks to build bridge or house. As for girls, they like to imitate the behaviour of their mothers. They already know they are the female so it is necessary to learn the behaviour of other women. For example, they try to take good care of their cloth dolls as their children or learn to do meals or housework with toys. What's more, they imitate their mothers' manners and words to take care of their own dolls.
