The Philippines is considered as one of the best tourist and traveler destination

in Asia-Pacific region, the country is being highlighted by amazing world class natural scenery and beaches. Among them are Tubbataha Reef, Puerto Princesa Underground River, Baguio City, Banaue Rice Terraces, and lots more. From January to December there are always a local celebration that honored each town Patron and Patroness; the celebration is known as Town Fiesta. Panagbenga: Panagbenga or Flower festival of Baguio city is a long month celebration on City of Pines, one of the highly anticipated events is the floats parade that decorated with colorful flowers. Kadayawan Festival: Davao City Kadayawan Festival is the cities celebration for thanking good harvest, the festival usually held during very third week of August, and the localities go out on the street to celebrate thanks giving in various ways; the festival includes parade of decorated float, street dancing competition, street shows, and power boat races. The other celebration activities include trade and job fairs, flower shows, exhibit during the whole week program.

Aside from those local festival that generates tourism on the area, this coming Lenten season features one of the most amazing and bizarre way of celebrating holy week, Pampanga, Bulacan and other places on Central Luzon are known for self flagellation, devotees believe that by exhorting extreme bodily punishment during holy Friday will cleanse the sins of devotee and grant wishes, it is also believe that the religious rites heal sickness. The flagellation includes whipping using rope and inflicting wounds on their back using blade, the climax of the celebration includes real crucifixion of the devotee.
