Wordpress is one of the many options you have available to start your first blog. It's an open platform that can be integrated with several softwares, plug-in and themes. The best part is that it's FREE! However, hosting is not. I use and recommend registering and hosting your website at hostgator.com. You don't need to be a tech genius to build a great looking site. Use softwares like Optimizepress, Pagelines or Profitthemes to get you started.

What to Blog About?

First and foremost, pick a Niche, and then be honest 100%. Your target market will know if you're BS-ing them so give them the truth. Provide value with your posts and give them information to help further their endeavors. Keep it fresh and consistent and most importantly, build relationships with your readers. Get to know them, help them any way that you can and they will become a customer.

How Can I Earn Money Online?

Opportunities can be found on Amazon where you could publish your own books. Amazon offers a free service called, Kindled Direct Publishing, where you could publish books on the Kindled (electronic) bookstore and earn royalties from sales. You can also promote affiliate products from Clickbank.com, the internet"s leading retailer of digital products.
