Interstitial Cystitis - Know the risk factors and the way to get rid of it

urge to urinate then beware as you might be a victim of Interstitial Cystitis. It is a type of chronic bladder infection which is more severe than normal cystitis cases, as it is hard to detect. Moreover, Interstitial Cystitis is not curable with antibiotics only. To cure this disease you have to implement changes in your lifestyle.
In spite of several tests, the actual cause of Interstitial Cystitis is still not found. Generally e-coli bacterium is the culprit which causes cystitis or urinary infections. But in some cases of Interstitial Cystitis, no bacteria or virus is found within the urine of affected patient, still the patients suffer from urinary disorders. According to some doctors, this chronic disease affects human body when the immune system of the body itself ruins the healthy cells and tissues. Asthma, endometriosis, migraine, sinusitis, hay fever, food allergies etc are some of the symptoms of Interstitial Cystitis. Some other symptoms of these diseases are:
Pain in the pelvic zone
Small amount of urination in spite of regular urge to urinate
Vaginal pain during the process of intercourse
Menstrual problems
An increase of pain when the bladder is full
Although the exact cause for Interstitial Cystitis is not yet known, yet it is suspected that the unhygienic food habit of modern day is one of the main causes of this disease. It is true that there is no specific treatment for this chronic disease, but there are some natural remedies available.
A change in the diet of the patient is essential for treating Interstitial Cystitis. Spicy and acidic foods which can damage the bladder wall should be avoided.
The best remedy for this infection can be intake of large amount of fluids. For better results follow some simple tips:
Have a glass of water in every hour
Drink quarter glass of pure cranberry juice daily which helps to attract the bacteria that clings to the bladder wall
Try to eat the fruits like watermelon, parsley, celery but avoid citrus fruits
Keep away from alcohol, carbonated beverages, chocolate, caffeine, coffee, simple sugars and processed foods
Medications can also be used to treat
Interstitial Cystitis. But leading a simple lifestyle with a restricted diet is the best way to keep distance from this disease.
