Introducing You To South Africa

Amongst all the countries throughout the world

, South Africa has to be one of the most breathtaking places to visit whether its geographical and cultural diversity or for the abundance of wild animals it has on offer for you to see. There really is nothing quite like seeing animals in their own environment, roaming free, hunting and living as they please, it truly a remarkable sight.

Going on safari in South Africa is the holiday of a lifetime, no zoo or wildlife film could ever recreate the true life experience of being up close to South Africas wildlife. You could be within charging distance of a hippopotamus and within purring distance of a leopard.

The best place to go a family safari is to South Africa, it is particularly great for families with young children. With South Africa safari parks having excellent facilities, the roads are impeccable which means what you could rent your own car and set your very own schedule. As Im sure youre aware, its important to be flexible when you have small children. Going on your own private safari will allow you to make stops as and when you wish, you can return to your hotel or accommodation when you tire and you can plan you own safari drives around the safari parks. It is also the least expensive option and the freedom youll get from travelling around one of Africas great safari parks such as Kruger or Etosha, its an incredibly intoxicating experience and one that you will never forget.

Having said that, it is important to stress that on a self drive safari you will be restricted to the network of roads and you will have to spot and find the animals yourself. It can get rather frustrating on a self drive safari if you fail to spot any animals, the benefit of going on a safari with a tour guide is you get their expertise and you will get to go a little deeper into the South African bush. The tour guides are also in radio contact with other tour guides, which means that you should never go too far without spotting any animals. Guided safari tours tend to be more expensive and offer less flexibility, often departing at either dusk or dawn, but there are clearly added benefits to going on safari with a tour guide.

South Africa plays host to an eclectic collection of wildlife safari regions and game reserves. South Africa encompasses every possible landscape from forests to mountains ranges, deserts to game parks. South Africa offers every possible wildlife encounter imaginable.

South Africas most famous safari park is the Kruger National Park, which is one of the largest game reserves in Africa, covering approximately seven thousand square miles. South Africa also has many smaller and private game reserve parks which will enable you to see a vast amount of animals in a short space of time.

If you are worried about your children having to take malaria tablets, then dont worry because there are a few malaria free game parks, so you dont have to worry each time a mosquito comes along.
