Landscaping is the art of manipulating the natural environment so that it will appear in a certain form. It can be done to any property surrounding a home, building, or structure. However, the task is not only to make changes to the environment, but to appreciate the existing ones and finding ways they can be manipulated to fit into the picture. With landscaping, it is about working hand in hand with nature, instead of placing concrete on every opportunity to dominate it. Apart from that, landscaping designs should also include more than just the image of the idea; it should also incorporate the practicality of each item they place in the design. Although their jobs may only last for the period of designing and making sure that the design is sustainable, once their job is done, the landscape will be left to other professions to take care of, like the gardener. Hence, practicality is extremely important so that people are able to keep the image of the landscape more than a memory, but as something they can live with.
