Is article marketing profitable? How many articles do I need to write to really make a lot of money? Are there any shortcuts...or ways to expedite my efforts to speed UP the process of pulling in a profit? If so...HOW so? Curious to know more? Continue reading as we take a closer look below!

First...is article marketing a profitable strategy, or is it simply something that gurus recommend to sell ebooks, products and coaching?

Good question....and the truth is, the answer is NOT as straightforward as many will have you believe. I've written over 5 THOUSAND articles in my own business, and have supervised many thousands more...so I'm a BIG advocate of article marketing. Yet, for the most part, the majority of the gurus...and the ebooks...and the get rich quick claims you'll here about it are often overstated.

For example?

You CAN'T write one article a day and make a full time living...period. 2, or 3 articles a day aren't going to cut it, either. (even though many gurus will tell you it will) The truth is, for better or for worse, article marketing is a strategy of SCALE, meaning the BIGGEST benefits kick in once a certain level of volume has been achieved. (and rarely before)

What is the fastest way to make money from writing articles?

It really depends on your expertise. For me, when I first got started, I did ALL affiliate re-directs...and I still make EASY money from these articles years later. (As many still rank well...and make weekly or monthly sales without me having to do anything OTHER than remember to renew the domain names every year.) But if you have an expertise, or can often a mentoring program, or can codify your content into a coaching curriculum, using your articles to build a LIST, and a community of fans is the BEST way to build a long term income from this approach...BAR none. (And is where I focus the majority of my efforts these days as well.)

How many articles are necessary to make a profit?

It's really an impossible question to answer! For example - in some niches, you can write ONE article that gets 2 or 3 thousand views in one long weekend...and can generate 500 opt in's from 15 minutes of effort. In other niches, (like this one) the very same effort may result in only 10 readers overall...but one of them may sign up for your list, become a client, and over the lifetime of your relationship...pay you tens of thousands of dollars for your coaching or consulting. The key is, UNDERSTAND your marketplace going in...do your due diligence and ONLY trust your own experience. (nNot the claims, promises and credo's of others...including mine!)
