AdSense is an advertising program by Google, which works with the advertisements on your blog; you get paid every time a visitor clicks on those ad postings. You start getting an additional income, with number of visitors increasing to your website or blog.

Every time that your webpage is loaded, AdSense puts on an advertisement. The places where these advertisements are placed are usually the banner, sidebar or both of them. You may control on what types of advertisements would be displayed on your page, otherwise they are generated just randomly and are loaded according to the schedule, every time your page is loaded.

It is true that using AdSense you can generate some money, however, as a matter of fact, it is not really for everyone. If your webpage is strictly a personal one and is more or less used only by your family and friends, then running AdSense might not be the finest thing to do. The reasons are that your friends may get tired of nonstop advertisements displayed on the page; the other thing is that since the traffic to your site is limited to your friends and family, the advertisements are only seen by them. Thus, there is no any particular benefit to the advertising companies as well, as due to limited traffic only same people see the displayed ads and there is so little diversity.

Nevertheless, if you feel that you would like to go forward with AdSense, you should do the required homework. The decision should be taken after careful consideration, that AdSense might not become more of a disturbance than a blessing. Decide accordingly, and find ways to make money.
