I am an indian , a young indian who has been a witness to this quota system for a while now. To begin with we all know this system was brought to our soceity to balance all wrongdoings which we had just post independence. Our soceity was and is still divided into different religions and different sects, so then it was very important at that time for us to have some quota or reservations to give everybody a fair chance to grow specially all the people who belonged to the backwardclass. Well i would like t ask everybody a small question right now after 62 years of our independence do we really need to have this system?? well my version of the answer which may or maynot be true would be yes, we need this system but not as what we have now, not in this present format but, quota/reservations should be given to people not because they belong to a certain religion or caste but because of their present social and economical conditions. What i mean is for example a student seeking admission in a college should be given admission with subsidised fee not because he's a part of so called backward class as defined by this system but as per the income of the person or the family which he is dependent on. Today people are misusing the present laws, on one hand they make use of quota or rservation given to them by the government on the other hand they can spend lavishly for all the luxuries of life. We have people from the so-called Forward class who can't even afford 3 meals in a day, leave the luxuries the bare necessities aren't affordable by them, just because they aren't born in the backward class as defined by our goverment long time back they are not entitled for a quota. We have to think yes all these years these policies have really helped our people from the backward classes but now we have to make an ammend in the rule so that we could help those people who are really in need. Today we all have to think and people who really can make a difference should come forward and change the system and help us build our nation in the real perspective, then nly we could proudly say yes India is shining.
