One of the most common questions I get asked when discussing this program is Is P90X a scam
? My answer used to be simply no way. With the intense training Tony Horton offers and the full body conditioning with nutrition guidelines, theres no way that anyone who has tried P90X would consider it a scam. However Im going on the assumption that people are following the program religiously to a tee. So I asked myself, what kind of person would say that P90X is a scam?
Then I realized that with P90X you do have to meet certain requirements that arent advertised on the infomercial in order for it to be successful. For example:
Commitment of time
You must understand that the success of P90X is based on what you the client puts into it. It takes approximately 60 90 minutes a day, 6 days a week with a 7th day of relaxing and stretching. Therefore its a full 90 day commitment from start to finish on order to complete the program. Some people arent looking for that. They are not able to commit that kind of time because of their busy schedule or other commitments.
Too intense
Some people want the results that P90X offers however they are just not ready to dive into a program as intense as this because of their own physical abilities. When this happens those people purchase the program, give it a try, find out that they cant keep up and then eventually quit with a very unsatisfying feeling.
Change in lifestyle
P90X is not a quick fix. It is most definitely a lifestyle change. You have to be willing to commit to the workouts, the diet program with all the cooking and preparation required, as well as the cost involved with the whole program.
Limitations on diet
For some people the nutritional program they offer is not suitable. They are not ready to change their diet plan that drastically. It is required that you stay on track with your diet however there is no additional help if you fall off of it.
Cost
Some people might think that the P90X is relatively cheap, only 3 monthly payments of $39.95 might not seem so much if you compare it to some gym memberships. However also consider the additional equipment you have to purchase if you dont already own any, as well as the extra cost of food if youre willing to commit to the diet plan.
