It Is Possible To Win Back Your Ex

When my boyfriend left me, I was devastated

When my boyfriend left me, I was devastated. My whole world revolved around him and I never thought he would leave me. He said his love for me was no longer the same as before. That got me even more confused. Was it possible to change so easily? Apparently, for him it was.

But I was always a go-getter, used to getting what I wanted in life. So after getting over the initial heartbreak, I started to think about how to win my ex-boyfriend back. But I had no idea how. So I turned to the wisest man I know my father.

I am thankful that I come from a close knit family and that even at the age of 24, I could talk to dad about such personal things. I needed some insights into the male mind and my dad gladly provided. He told me about the way to make a man respond positively to me anytime I wanted. It had to do with a mans ego.

At the same time, I knew I had to change myself. I had to grow up in certain areas of my life and put in some inner beauty into my character. For this I sought the help of my best friend. She agreed to act as my accountability partner. I gave her a list of the types of behavior I wanted to avoid and she had my full permission to reprimand me if I ever indulge in those things. So she almost stuck to me like glue for the next 4 weeks or so. Slowly I felt myself change in some crucial areas of my life.

It was only after 5 weeks that I tried calling my ex-boyfriend again. But I had to find a non-threatening way of doing so. Thats where I took advantage of what my dad told me about a mans ego. I asked him to help me in something he was particularly skilled at playing the guitar. Sure, my fingers hurt but it was worth it because in showing me the ropes, he was in his element. And he felt proud of his talent, glad to help a helpless female and appreciated for his skill. That was exactly what I wanted him to feel because it boosted his ego.

My guitar lessons went on for sometime during which we started to talk , joke and laugh together again (mostly at my guitar fumbles). After almost 2 months, I plucked up the courage to ask him about us. I braced myself for any cold shoulder treatment but to my surprise, he said he was thinking about us, too. We exchanged apologies and promises for the future and this led us to eventually resuming our relationship.

So if you are struggling with your own breakup, dont despair because it is possible to win your ex-boyfriend back.
