Managing a website like USBiGirls.com can be a challenge, especially if you are determined to be a legitimate forum for women to express their alternative view of female sexuality. It is time-consuming, expensive and it requires an extraordinary commitment to develop into the web presence that you envisioned when you started it.

And this task is made more difficult by sites on the web that are fraudulent fronts for male dominated, corporate managed "dating" sites with fictitious members, predatory pricing schemes, non-existent security policies, privacy busting tracking cookies and member list name selling. Many of these were once legitimate websites with a unique point of view and with something meaningful and honest to offer the Bi and lesbian women's community. But now they have traded years of credibility and good will to "shill" for companies that have no objective other than selling memberships and charging a credit card, month after month.

A case in point: our recent discovery that a few of our members are affiliates of seemingly legitimate Bi or lesbian social sites that are pure fronts for "pay for sex" dating operations. And the companies they front for? The unnamed worst of the worst of scum and numerous other re-branded but still slimy front sites.

Sign up, pay money and get hustled. Sure they have connected women with women, but they are no more successful at it than we, or other credible sites, are. And here you will meet actual women struggling and playing, laughing and crying, changing and coping with life as a Bi or lesbian.

In the American film classic "Citizen Kane" Charles Foster Kane has this line of dialog, "It's not hard to make a lot of money...if all you want to do is make a lot of money." Well, we agree. Go ahead and run your business any way you choose. But remember every day that you are selling out women; and these are the very women that you wanted to help when you started your website. These are women that believed in your vision to the extent that they trusted their personal information to your care and stewardship.

So leave USBiGirls.com alone. Let us be a true independent voice for Bi and lesbian women and go pitch your B.S. "Women's Sites" somewhere else. If you choose to promote your portal with no legitimate content, capability or integrity, do it elsewhere.

Yes, we know all the excuses for your decision. We have been approached to "pimp" our site traffic, visitors and members as well. And sure, the costs to operate are high, it's tough to find volunteer help and it consumes your time and your life. But these are other women you're doing a disservice to, and perhaps if you believed in them your site would flourish and grow without the need to pass off your integrity to some dollar motivated third-party.

I think there's a common, and crude, name for a woman that sells her integrity for a few bucks. Oh yeah, now I remember what that word is. But there's even a worse word for women that sell out other women under the guise of "helping them" or "connecting them." And that word is pimp.
