Italian Meet: What About Long Distance Relationships?

You and your future partner have been doing great in online dating

, but then he gets to leave and be far away from you for long periods of time, should you let go of this love? or should you hold on?

Some online relationships develop so quickly but the love you may have felt is so intense for each other that even being miles apart won't let you stop loving each other. And that's with the absence of physical contact, you two haven't met each other, but you feel the connection, the chemistry with your partner. You have well been used to the chats and long phone calls; you may even be comfortable with the set-up. But, when the time comes? The perfect time for you and your partner to really meet up and continue your well rounded relationship with each other?

Online dating offers tons of benefit and that includes allowing people to meet someone with the absence of pressure that come from meeting someone for the first time in person. You get to know your pace, online dating permits you to dictate your time to get to know someone for the better. You can think of what to write, what to say and how to present your self at your most convenient time. With this, you get to building rapport with others and starting there on; let it all fall into place and get to fall in love in the process.

So you are into this whirlwind of romance and now you ask, what's next? What is the best time frame and the norm for two people who discovered each other in online dating and started their relationship there? The answer depends on a couple of things:

For one, there is the distance that separates you two. The farther you are from each other then the longer time for you to get to know each other before investing time and money to meet in person.

Second, how fast is your relationship going? What's your pace? How do you want your relationship to progress? Where do you want it to be? How far do you want it to go? This includes taking your time to exchange emails, photographs, information which allows you to discover common interests and likes over a long period of time.

You should learn how to balance, what's present and what is going on about in your relationship. Exchanging emails for too long would create that sense of comfort or familiarity that may not be present when you two get to meet. Remember, you decide how you would present yourself, you could be one sided when it comes to your partner and be blindsided, which could lead to a false sense of security. Other than that, how you present yourself could create an illusion, you see things the way you want to see it.

For one, you should not just be dictated by your emotions, let your instincts kick in. You two will never get to the next stage of your relationship when you don't meet up. You won't mature in your relationship when the only means of communication that you have is through chats or emails, you need to hear each other and interact face-to-face. By that time, you should be able to see whether the person is really someone who's worth it. You two should be able to connect online and offline when that time comes.
