Former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins has been granted an intervention order against an alleged stalker because of fears for her safety.
Hawkins, 26, successfully applied for the apprehended violence order against alleged stalker Irfan Aslam Lone in Sydney's Waverley Local Court yesterday.
Mr Lone appeared in court for the application hearing, but Hawkins was not present, leaving her application in the hands of police prosecutors.
Mr Lone did not agree with all the allegations outlined in a police document tendered to the court, but accepted some were correct.
Jennifer Hawkin's manager Sean Anderson did not return calls last night but told Channel 9 she was "very upset by the ordeal".
The details of the alleged stalking, or how long it had been going on, were not revealed in court.Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge ordered Mr Lone to stay at least 100m away from Hawkins for 12 months and must not assault, threaten, harass or intimidate her.
