The beauty of network marketing though is that it takes very little capital to start which allows anyone to really make it big if they do the work.
Comparatively speaking, the first franchise I opened cost me $140,000 to open the doors. I am glad I do not own it anymore. The bottom line is you need some capital to start any business, but the reality is, it does not make any sense not to invest and try out a network marketing opportunity.

The things the count are the training, your personal growth, and most importantly developing you as a leader so you can duplicate the process.
4) Is The Product Something You Would Be Comfortable Promoting?
When you are excited about your network marketing opportunity and the products, your excitement is infectious. BUT, beyond passion, does the product deliver the results? Sure, testimonials are wonderful, but are the products claims backed by scientific evidence as well? Consider the ways in which you will promote your products and get ides from your sponsor and other networkers.
5) How Long Has The Company Been In Business?
This is HUGE! The first network marketing opportunity I joined went out of business just as my pay peaked. I was discourage from seeking out another network marketing opportunity because of this. I did not check out the company, I just jumped in! The company I am with now has been in business for over 22 years. You need a sturdy company. A stable publicly traded company that must report to shareholders is a great foundation for the hard work you will put into your business.
Interview your sponsor about the company you are interested in joining and do your research. You want your network marketing opportunity to be alive and prospering well into the future so you can keep getting your residual paychecks for decades to come.
6) Can You Sponsor Lead And Teach You?
Will your sponsor work with you until you have developed into a leader? You want the person that introduced you to your network marketing opportunity to be a person you can look up to and who can lead you to success. Your sponsor is, in essence, your business partner and you two will be spending many hours together as you learn the system.
In conclusion, if you treat your network marketing opportunity like a real business, find a great sponsor to lead you, pick a solid company with a fair and profitable compensation plan, and are willing to put in the time and effort to grow, you will succeed. Do not give up. Many out there will say not to your network marketing oppotunity as they cannot dream big like you. Treat your network marketing opportunity like the serious business it is, have fun, sustain your postive attitude, and the success will come.
