Along the way you will sometimes see performers in place of a stall. This can range from people playing an instrument such as a guitar or piano to people acting piece from a play. There are restaurants and bars along the way as well so if your hungry you won't have a problem when it comes to finding food but you will if you can't decide what you wan to eat. What is great is that some have a performing stall on the opposite side so you can be sampling some great entertainment while tucking into your meal.

It is also here you will see some of the best free stylers/showmen on a bike, skateboard or any other small contraption that will surely leave you bewildered yet entertained. Which is no surprise as near by is the Venice beach skate park, which has seen some of the most famous skaters show their talents there. It is also said that Venice along with Santa Monica is one of the homes of the Z-Boys, a group of skaters who are seen as pioneers for modern skating. Also there are basketball courts that are iconic as well. This is due to the fact that a high level of street ball is played here and the fact that NBA players visit to hone their skills or look at the local talent.

Venice beach is also home to Muscle Beach, if you had to describe it you'd call it an outdoor gym. As it is a playground that features weight lifting and other form of fitness equipment. This is a place were many famous people use to regularly train there such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Trejo.

The beach itself is wonderful the sun is golden the water is blue and the weather is perfect for those who want a sun or to sunbath. The long stretch of the beach is ideal for beach games such as volleyball, soccer and other fun activities. The beach has also been used in the media quite frequently, it has been used as a setting in films and television show over the past few decades and even been replicated in video games.

A few blocks away from the beach and the boardwalk is the Venice canals yes this is another thing which you can say is inspired by the Italian city. Venice was founded in 1905 by Abbot Kinney a tobacco millionaire. He with his partner Francis Ryan had bought two miles of ocean front property on Santa Monica in 1891. Their goal was to build a beach resort town called Ocean Park that would serve as a nearby alternate/complement to Santa Monica. This was to be located on the north end of their property, but plans changed after Ryan died. His death led to Kinney making a few changes such as him deciding to build the resort on the marshy part of area in the south end of the property.

Venice of America was opened on July 4, 1905. There were several miles of Canals that were dug in order to drain the marshes in order to build the residential part of the resort. Along with the Canals a 1200-foot-long pleasure pier with an auditorium, ship restaurant, and dance hall and other things were constructed.

Most the Canals were filled in 1929 and turned into roads though as cars and ground motors became more and more popular whilst the Canals were seen as a thing of the past. This also lead to the Canals turning into poor conditions upkeep was neglected for more than 40 year despite the fact the were calls for renovations during this period. But lack of funding, environmental problems and a whole lot of other things meant that nothing could be done. But in 1992 the start of the renovation finally happened and the following year the canals were opened again. Now the properties that lied adjacent to them are the most sought after properties and the most expensive in the city. Especially as the residential district around the canals are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

You could say there isn't a pretty place to settle down at even if you take any glamorous Los Angeles rental into account, just imagine the canals at sunset I can't think of a more relaxing situation in the city.
