Keep Your Castle Clean With These 3 Tips!

Keeping your home clean and tidy may at times seem an endless endeavor but with the

right attitude and disposition, this activity does actually make your home a safer place to live in. Our home is our castle and through sanitizing this castle, we protect our home from being invaded by micro organisms and pests that can make our kids sick. Here are some things you can do in fortifying our place of residence:

- Make a daily schedule on how we clean. If you look at all the things you have to do to clean the home, it may be overwhelming. Break it down to smaller tasks on different days. This way, it does not feel that the tasks are insurmountable. Schedule some days for cleaning some parts of the house such as the kids and masters bedroom and then alternate the other days for cleaning the living room, dining room etc. - Have some professionals do clean your home at least once a year. It is also important to have a day off from doing the cleaning work. Find a carpet cleaning expert to work on your home at least once a year. This way, the house gets a good and professional clean up. Schedule a day so that the kids are out of the house and then make arrangements for the carpet cleaning experts to do their thing. More often than not, they will thoroughly shampoo all the carpets in your house and this takes time. The end result being that the house has this new smell look and it is worth the expense to have them service your home on at least an annual basis. You may even strike a deal with them to do this on a regular basis for a discounted rate.

- Teach your children how to clean as they go. A preventive measure that keeps your home tidy and minimizes your work load is teaching your kids to clean as they go. They should tidy up after eating, taking their plates and washing them. You can also ask them to make their beds as soon as they wake up. Instilling these habits is a wonderful life lesson that you can impart to them. They may abhor it at first but after a while, it becomes routine to them and something which they do automatically. These things should be done progressively as well. As the kids get bigger, you can ask them to do other things in the home which helps you lessen your workload. You can assign some of them to take out the garbage, do the laundry work on some days, and mow the lawn.
