KERALA is a state in the Malabar Coast of South West India

. Kerala is also known as The Gods Own Country or the Celestial Land due its natural beauty and unique culture and traditions. Kerala has developed as one of the major tourism destination in recent time. Geographically, Kerala is divided into 3 major tourist destinations namely Northern region, Central Region and the Southern region. The northern region is also called as Malabar coast and consists of districs like Kasargod, Kannur, Wayanad, Malappuram and Palakkad. The central kerala which is known as Kochi consists of Thrissur and Ernakulam. The southern region is named as Travancore and consists of Idukki, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram

Theyyam is a ritual and a folk dance form supported by a vast literature of folk songs. Animal lovers can head to the Wayanad Wildlife sanctuary one of the few places you are guaranteed to spot an elephant. Kasargode is the northern most district of Kerala which is world renowned for its coir and handloom industries. Kasargod is also known as the Land of Gods, forts, rivers, hills and the beautiful beaches. Wayanad is one among the 14 districts in Kerala which has retained its pristine nature. Wayand is the land of hills which hides the oldest of tribes who are still untouched by civilization. Wayanad houses sprawling spice plantations and breathtakingly beautiful mist clad hills/mountains. The granary of Kerala, Palakkad, also is a part of Northern Kerala. Palakkad is a land of rivers, hillocks, valleys, mountain streams, dams and lot of irrigation projects. Palakkad is the gateway to Kerala from the North.

Central Kerala has the cultural capital of Kerala. Thrissur, the cultural capital city of kerala, has a rich history and tradition along with a sound archaeological background. The political history of south india has always found a mention of Thrissur during ancient times. Ernakulam is also a must see place here.

Trivandrum is the capital of Kerala. The appealing beach of Kovalam is situated in Trivandrum. The shore side of Kovalam is lined up with numerous Bars and caf where you can enjoy a variety of fresh sea food. The padmanabhaswamy temple and the padmanabhapuram palace are must see places in and around Trivandrum.
