Which Kindle accessories do you really need? Actually none of the accessories are essential strictly speaking. When you buy a Kindle, it comes with everything you need right there in the box. There are, however, some nice little extras available that would make great Christmas Gifts for a Kindle owner.

1. Kindle Protective Skins

The range of Kindle skins is unbelievably varied. They designs range from cute to rather weird. Just to whet your appetite, the list of designs includes the following: plaid, pink and pretty, floral, wood effect, Temple of Doom, and matt black.

Kindle skins are a style statement but they also serve a practical function. A Skin offers an inexpensive way to protect your device while also showing a hint of your personality. Skins can be purchased for about half the price of the average leather cover, and a mere fraction of a designer cover.

If you prefer non-fussy finishes, a plain colored Kindle jacket could go on your accessory wish list. When you think about accessories for an electronic reading device earphones probably aren't the first thing to spring to mind. But many readers love the audio function Kindle offers. Noise canceling earbuds or headphones are excellent for anyone listening to their Kindle in a noisy environment. Earphones would make a good Christmas gift for a Kindle owner who listens while commuting on public transport.Any of these accessories would make a welcome gift for a Kindle owner. The skins are especially popular.
