Common spices used to add flavor to the coffee are cinnamon, cardamom, anise and clove. There are some who do the flavoring after roasting and before the grinding. Added to the coffee beans are flavoring oils which were created by chemists. Liquid flavors are cream and syrup. Some other flavors are fruits, chocolates and nuts.
