In the year 1920, Senator Wesley Jones passed a law concerning to the needs of the maritime worker, which includes seamen, sailors, dock workers, bargemen, workers on oil rig, and other worker rendering their services in a company under a maritime industry. This Law was the Merchant Marine Act of 1920 which commonly known as the Jones Act Law or the Jones Act Maritime Law as others would call it.
