Knowing The Need To Observe Father's Day

Fathers are the most ignored human beings

Fathers are the most ignored human beings. They can also be the most neglecting human beings, as the multitudes of men who insist that the world is theirs, but the baby is not, thrive. If you don't believe me, do a web search of the terms 'father', 'day' and 'neglect' and see the careful balance of results showing the rampant neglect of men by their families and of families by their men.

The utter neglect of the boy child-or the man child; women are insistent that men never grow up-is evident every year as Father's Day passes without so much as a word of appreciation for these (ahem!) pillars of society. Perhaps you are a victim of the deafening silence from your family, as the day wears on without even a person to bring you a bottle of water as you clean the gutters outside. You are not alone.

We all hate the commercialization of holidays that comes unhinged especially on Christmas and Valentine's Day. We rant and rave how Valentine's is just a way of ripping our hearts out through our pockets and when Father's Day passes without so much as a commercial for Father's Day socks, it is easy to see why I am offended.

While it is unfair to equate Christmas and Valentine's Day with Father's Day, Mother's Day draws in a lot of attention. This is regardless of the fact that Father's Day came with summer this year, leaving us to wonder whether no one appreciates the way we enrich their lives with sunshine, figuratively and, as it seems, literally. If you ask those who do remember the father figures in their life, pleasing a man is very easy. A simple tie, watch or a cufflink can do the trick.

Even a simple 'Happy Father's Day' can suffice, but I would rather get a return on investment for paying college fees, and funding Valentine's Day and Mother's Day for years by getting a sixty inch LED display TV (after the cufflinks, tie and watch of course).

However, getting an LED TV for your father can only serve to remind him of how much he over-supports you, if you still get money from him. In that case, you can opt for the common, yet effective, cufflinks. Cufflinks are an accessory that you can hardly ever get wrong.

They also come in a wide range of designs, colors, material and you can even engrave a message on them. Most people buy their father figures the much cliched necktie, only for the piece to hang in the closet unused for years. Frankly, am at a loss at what your father could have done for you to give him a noose on a day dedicated just for him, but these are just my thoughts.
