Thailand has got many attractive places. One among them is the beautiful town called Krabi which is located in the southern side. The main business of this town is tourism. It is a small town with a very small population. It is a town facing the Andaman Sea and hence most of the time, there will be heavy rain. Severe storms and mud slides are quite common during rains.

Beaches and Islands

As Krabi is purely a tourism based town, there are lots of beaches and beautiful islands to spend enough time. Each and every place in the town has something unique that makes everyone to admire it.

Ao Nang Beach

Eighteen kilometer away from Krabi is the bay hosting nearly eighty-three small islands within it. There are many beaches around these islands. Ao Nang beach is said to be the cleanest among them all. The sand and the surroundings remain clean and the water would be crystal clear. The beach is very long and the water stays calm. This would be the right place for those who love silence. One can also see the limestone cliffs rising from the water.

There are great resorts in and around this beach that attracts many for the luxury offered by them. This is the safest place for everyone especially for children. The coastline is very shallow and there is no need of worrying about kids playing on the beach. This makes the beach, a safe place for real enjoyment.

Railey and Hat Tham

Just to the south of the Ao Nang beach lie the two famous beaches, the Railey and the Hat Tham. These beaches of Krabi are the most popular ones. It would be difficult to walk on these beaches. One has to take a ride in the long tail boat. This ride would offer a great experience for everyone visiting Krabi and it must never be missed.

There are several craggy limestone formations in the area. Roads are not very good. But one can find excellent and class accommodations with all the facilities here. This makes the place more welcoming. Natural rock formations are very extensive here and this interests the rock climbers. There are many caves too which can be explored by the visitors.

Lanta Island Group

This is the southernmost part of the Krabi province and it consists of nearly fifty three islands.

Koh Lanta Yai

This island is the biggest of this group and it is the place for solitude and peace. You can find beautiful beaches there with calm water and white sands. There are many National Parks on this island. Koh Lanta Yai is more traditional where people follow many customs and traditions.

Koh Taleng Beng

This is a little island with a small beach. The island consists of various beautiful resorts and is the place for honey "" mooners. The island has also got many shopping areas for the visitors to spend great time.
