Kyocera Mita Km-3035 Customizable Small Office Printer
As the slowest of the three models in its series
, the Kyocera Mita KM-3035 offers users access to all the features and expandability options of a medium volume printer with a slight reduction in price from the 40 and 50 page per minute models, the Kyocera Mita KM-4035 and KM-5035. If maximum speed is not an issue, this toned down model should properly suit most document processing demands in a small office environment.
With an emphasis on customizability, the Kyocera Mita KM-3035 offers a catalogue of accessories and printing options including complete network connectivity. While networking a large scale printer such as this can be almost critical for a large portion of businesses that wish to share the device across the entire small office, some businesses may simply wish to use it as a stand alone unit. With complete control over included hardware, these businesses can save money by only including the functionality they need without having to pay for the hardware that they dont.
Dual 500 sheet standard paper drawers help businesses that are constantly switching back and forth between output formats by automatically switching between two, while a 200 sheet multi purpose tray further saves time and money by eliminating the need to unload standard paper when using special media types such as company letterhead, card stock, and transparency. Duplexing is also standard with the unit and saves both time and money by printing to both sides of the page.
More user control comes in the memory department, with a 20 GB hard drive optional for purchase. Standard memory consists of only 64 MBs of RAM, which can be more than plenty for those who print primarily to text only output. The Kyocera Mita KM-3035 also keeps operations moving along without hesitation by allowing paper supplies to be restocked while a print operation is running.
The copy machine operates at 30 pages per minute, and includes features accessible though dedicated controls such as magnification and zoom from 25% 400%. Ten preset zoom ratios are also selectable to cut down on operation time. Other copy features include paper select, job build, job queue, batch copy, booklet mode, book mode, combine image, erase mode, image overlay, and an entire laundry list of others.
Oversized paper is entirely compatible with the Kyocera Mita KM-3035 all the way up to A3. Continuous copy is also possible up to 999 at once with an auto reset to 1. The automatic document feeder included has a reversing function which scans both sides of two sided input, making double sided copies entirely automated when using the RADF and the duplex mode.
Expansion options include a document processor, a huge 3,000 sheet finisher, a simple 1,000 sheet finisher, a stapler, and a saddle stitch finisher. An internal finisher can also be incorporated, but holds only 500 sheets. Many other expandability options are available for the Kyocera Mita KM-3035 and, with its heavy duty base statistics, the unit should prove to be a valuable asset for a small office.
