The introduction of the tablet PC from many manufacturers, who do not have a proper experience in making tablet PCs has given LG the necessary courage in order to launch a new Tablet PC of their own. However, instead of going down the route of many other manufacturers, LG has decided to go along in the path of the less trodden and they have launched the new LG Optimus Pad. You might be wondering what might be the new technology in the LG Optimus Pad. The answer is the resounding 3-D technology, which is yet to appear in any tablet PC. This makes the LG Optimus Pad highly unique and LG seem to have created a new niche for themselves in the process.

The LG Optimus Pad will be coming with an 8.9 inch touch screen display. However, it is not the size of the touch screen display that is the most impressive aspect of the LG Optimus Pad. It is the 3-D technology that it is going to come with. Even though this 3-D technology will need 3-D glasses, it is a small price to pay for a massive technology that is going to change the tablet PC segment just like the Apple iPad did when it was launched a few months ago. However, Apple would not have been thinking about a new shift in the tablet PC segment so soon. Apart from the touch screen display that boasts of 3-D support, the LG Optimus Pad will be coming with an extremely high resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels. This makes the quite adept at handling all the high-definition movies that are becoming increasingly popular amongst movie enthusiasts nowadays.

The LG Optimus Pad will be coming with a lot of memory to store all the movies, 32 GB to be precise. It is this memory that is going to be supplemented by the presence of external memory card support that will be taking care of all the needs when it comes to the memory department. Due to the presence of options like 3G, Wi-Fi and microUSB in terms of the connectivity options, filling up all the vacant space that going to be present initially is not difficult task in the LG Optimus Pad. The 1 GHz Nvidia processor that is coming in the LG Optimus Pad is a dual core unit that will be able to handle two operating systems at the same time. However, as it is, there is only one operating system in the LG Optimus Pad and it is the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. It has been slightly modified for the LG Optimus Pad using the LG 3-D user interface to bring the 3-D technology to the operating system as well.

The LG Optimus Pad will be coming with a dual five megapixel camera that has a lot of features including those of the 1080 p and 3-D video recording amongst many others. The LG Optimus Pad is all set for launch within a few months.
