Toyota is getting that feeling again and that means it's time to give the customers something new. For 2011, the Toyota Highlander and the Highlander Hybrid have been updated and Lake Worth Toyota Tundra buyers will be thrilled.

With new fenders, hood, front fascia and lights the 2011 Highlander is looking fine. The Highlander Hybrid has some tweaks which give is a bit different look, like its own grille and front bumper design. Three rows of standards seating are now available with the Highlander and lots of new tech gadgets and amenities make this a cushy driving experience.

Customers of Lake Worth used cars may want to check out the Highlander's trim choices. The SE and the Limited both come with standard Bluetooth, a USB port and XMRadio. The base model offers all this as an option. A Leather Package is new for the Hybrid Highlander and includes heated front seats and power moon roof.

One thing that seems to be attractive about the Highlander, at least for someone like me who prefers to drive an SUV, is the Toyota quality behind it. The SUV market has become so competitive in the last decade that one just tends to look like another. Sure, some have more bells and whistles than others but overall they seem to be pretty much the same vehicle. Not so with the Highlander, which is backed by Toyota's commitment to customer service and reputation for strict safety standards.

The main difference between brands of SUVs seems to be power and price. Many are being given more powerful engines, so it may just come down to horsepower per dollar. Since that's not a very logical way to buy a vehicle, personal preferences will likely rule in the buying choice.

When it comes to power, a 2.7-liter, four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower comes with the base model and can be had on the SE trim as well. That puts the mileage numbers at 25 mpg. Move up to the 3.5-liter six-cylinder and you get 270 horsepower. Both have five-speed automatic transmissions.

The Highlander Hybrid has a new 3.5-liter V6 in place of the previous 3.3-liter. The combined engine/electric motor pulls 280 horsepower and it gets a very respectable 28 mpg both city and highway. So what will impress Lake Worth Toyota Tundra buyers more - the mileage or the price?

The 2011 Toyota Highlander base model will start at $27,390 for the front-wheel drive. Move up to the SE FWD model and you'll pay $33,150, while the Limited with all-wheel drive will start at $36,345. The Highlander Hybrid is a little pricier with a base model at $37,290 and the Limited running about $42,945.
