While it isn't going to be your home media center due to the limited power from both the video and audio playback, the Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4036 comes with a built in camera and integrated microphone. This more than makes up for some of the other compromises made in its make-up. Its 320 GB HDD and 14 inch screen are more than enough to store all your work files on and see what you are doing.
Another possible setback of the Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4036 is the responsiveness of the track-pad but, the keyboard is very comfortable and easy to use. All you need to do is use a plug in mouse and the track-pad is no longer an issue.
The 1.8GHZ processor is not the fastest but it will certainly get the job done if you are just an everyday home user of a notebook. Things like surfing the net and word processing will be no trouble whatsoever for the Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4036. It also comes with a very generous 4GB of RAM which is more that enough to handle almost any program you can throw at it.
The Toshiba Satellite is the kind of notebook that is well-suited for those who wish to get some office work done at home while the rest of the family can use it for checking emails and surfing the internet. If you are on a budget you can't really go wrong as this Toshiba looks and feels very solid.
