As no patient or procedure is exactly the same thing you may discover that not everything in this leaflet apply to you. However we hope that these answers to common questions are useful. Please consult your doctor or nurse if you are unclear on anything.

All in the treatment room is required to wear safety glasses. You should not remove these until told to do so. The practitioner will ensure the treatment area is clean and shaven if necessary. They calibrate the laser and guide the device along the zone. Do you feel a cold spray before and after each laser pulse. You may experience some hair along the burning process, but do not be alarmed, as this is normal. Aloe vera gel is applied to the end. Your date is given for you next appointment before leaving the clinic. If you do not have regrowth of hair at the time of the next appointment, please re-schedule for a later date.

Aftercare

Continue to apply aloe vera gel or moisturizer to soothe irritations nonscented. You can keep it in the fridge if you want so that is cool. You should treat the area gently, as if had sunburn, for the first 24 hours. You can resume your normal use of creams / lotions / make-up once you stop irritation. Avoid exercise for 24 hours after treatment, such as sweating may irritate the treated skin. Avoid sun exposure to reduce the possibility of dark pigmentation. Always use sunblock (SPF 30 or higher) for the duration of treatment. Failure to do so may cause burns, blistering, scarring and permanent pigment changes.

You should avoid collecting or scratching the treated skin. Do not pick, wax or use any other methods of hair removal besides shaving for 4-6 weeks after treatment. The hair in the treated area will start throwing after two weeks, and if you wish, you can gently exfoliate the area to remove them.
