Latest Revision to AS9100, Revision C Imposes Additional Requirements:

BSI announces its next webinar, "How to Enhance Your AS9100 Certification and Proactively

Manage Your Quality System," will be held on September 15, 2010 at 1:00 pm ET. This webinar, hosted by Gene Morrison, a 30-year veteran of the aerospace industry and one of BSI's subject matter experts, will highlight some of the rule changes to the AS9100 scheme brought about by Revision C. Webinar participants will also view a solution demonstration on effectively addressing management systems needs across the entire organization.

The International Aerospace Quality Group's (IAQG) latest revision to the AS9100 family of standards imposes a number of additional requirements on the industry and expands the scope of the standard to include space and defense industries with land and sea-based systems for defense applications. According to the IAQG, organizations only have until July 1, 2012 to become compliant with these new requirements or lose their certification. This deadline makes it imperative to adopt systems and methodologies that significantly increase efficiency and accurately demonstrate conformance.

A key goal of Revision C is to enhance the on-time, on-quality, delivery of products and services to the Aerospace, Space and Defense industry.
