Leaders lead by allowing people to move, they have the power to motivate their people to take new tasks and be challenged with new opportunities. On the other hand, we have the managers. Managers, are similar to leaders, themselves, however, differ in the way they lead or direct their people. Managers do not advocate change. They train their people to be specific and abide the rules or principles that were already made. Leadership training and management training may differ in the way they handle their people, but both have one common goal in the end: to succeed in their main objectives.
In leadership alone, the leader may create a new vision for his or her people to follow, forgetting to notice how his new plan may work out. In management alone, the manager may be too focused in keeping up with the rules and not provide much change to his people, thus creating a monotonous outcome. However, the best type of training is combining the two sets of trainings. Leadership and management training when forces combined leads to a fresh and productive outcome in the end.
Leaders are born with self confidence and authority. He or she is subjected to rule and provide new visions and ideas for the team. While managers, on the other hand, are born with sense of discipline and skills to put into action the plans that were already constructed for the team. To cut the story short, both leaders and managers promote good authority to their people. The only difference is the approach or technique they use in handling their people.
Leadership trainings train leaders to become more independent individuals, for them to be able to tackle new obstacles in the course of their work. They need to maintain professionalism at all times to gain the respect, trust and attention of their subordinates. Leaders also need to be flexible in their work because minor alterations are inevitable at times. In management trainings, managers are taught to possess good qualities of a manager. A good manager needs to be understanding and considerate to his subordinates, he or she must be able to know the difference between correct and incorrect ideas when it comes to decision making. Meticulous planning and proper carrying out of plans need to be done accordingly by a good manager.
Leadership and management trainings are offered to make sure superiors are knowledgeable about every detail regarding their team's outputs and progress in working. These trainings produce nothing but, positive feedbacks and successful outcomes in the end.
