Looking to pass your driving test quickly? Then intensive driving courses are probably just right for you
. These course are becoming more and more popular as people struggle to find time to juggle work and learning. With the obvious attraction of being able to pass in usually just one week, what is there not to like?!
Whereas normally you would probably have one lesson per week, it would probably take you around a year to pass your test, perhaps a little bit longer. If you could find a driving instructor who could dedicate two lessons a week then your looking at six months. But with intensive courses the majority of people pass their full driving licence in around one week. If you do not pass within a week, most courses will give you free lessons until you do pass.
This can be very beneficial and appeal to a lot of people. For example if you need a licence quickly to enable you to take up a new job offer, or are moving away to university and want to be able to get home when you wish, then this is ideal for you.
All driving schools will insist upon you passing your theory test before starting the course as you be taking the practical driving test at the end of the week and this cannot be done without the theory element being passed first.
The amount of hours that you will be driving per day will be down to the individual instructor and his initial assessment of your driving ability. Some will require more instruction than others and this will be factored into the week.
Normally the driving lessons will be spread over a full day, possibly in two hour chunks, otherwise you will become tired and will start to not retain information given.
Residential schools are an option for people who do not have instructors in their area that provide intensive driving courses. The cost of the accommodation is normally included in the overall cost and meal costs additional to this. Try to pick a driving instructor that suits your needs and style of learning as everyone is different.
Some larger driving schools offer residential intensive courses where the cost of the lessons, test and accommodation is all under one bill. This can be useful for learner drivers if you need to learn quickly and especially if there is not an option to do this close to home.
