Almost all of us come accross stories of ordinary people who started with borrowed money. Something like $1500 on their credit card and started trading. Making $250,000 in just one month. These stories are no doubt true. No one will ever print a false story. You might as well get inspired by these stories!First don't make the mistake of trading with borrowed money! Never! Second don't believe in these fanatasies. 90% of the people who take up trading after reading such stories, some which might be no doubt true, start receiving margin calls and lose their trading accounts soon.This is the hard and painful way of learning trading. 90% of these people learn the hard way that markets don't care at all about you whether you are trading with borrowed money or your own money. Markets do what pleases them and makes them happy whether you get rich with it or you lose everything. Markets have no emotions and no mercy. Too badly shaken with this market behavior, 90% of the people who try trading give it up.I give you one example. Suppose, you have been investing in stocks over some years making some consistent return. Though that return is not astounding but you are still satisfied. You know something about how to invest in stocks. You know the importance of doing research before investing in a stock.One day, your broker or some friend of your tells you how much she is making in the commodities market. You get excited. You want to trade commodities. You know you have been investing in stocks but commodities like gold, silver, cattle, wheat, crude oil, pork bellies, soya beans are not companies and don't behave as such. So you have fallen into a delusion that since you have been trading stocks, you can trade commodities too.You do some prelimiary reading. You learn that commodities are traded in the futures market. So, you open an account with a futures broker who makes you sign the customary risk disclosure statement. You read it. Of course, you know futures trading is risky. But you are making te cardinal mistake of rushing. You rush into trading commodity futures. You lose trade after trade and in a short time, lose the capital in your trading account. You had a nasty experience with commodity trading. You give up. So learn not to rush headlong into trading. Join the 10% who ultimately succeed at trading and start enjoying it in the end!10% stay. It is hard for them in the first few months.
