If you think that heavy tire training is only for strong men and MMA fighters, think again. Doing flips, drags, jumps, and all sorts of different moves with heavy tires can help anyone get in great shape.

Two of the best places to get large tires like these are at a tire dealership for farm tires or one that specializes in earth moving equipment - many times, they will be more than happy to give you old tires; they have to pay a disposal fee anyhow - and you could care less about worn out tread if you're just working out with them.

If you're just looking to improve your general fitness level, a tire in the 200-300 pound range will be a good start. Stronger folks, athletes and the like should go for tires in the 300-500 pound range. If you're a very strong man or planning on competing (the tire flip is part of strongman competitions), you'll be training with tires in the 700-800 pound range.
