Therefore storing your guitar in a case is the best option for protecting your guitar from weather and accidents. Other things to look for from an instructor is how long they have been teaching and playing. You would not trust a teacher at school to be an anatomy teacher who has not finished college. In turn, you would not want a guitar instructor to still be learning themselves and trying to teach you at the same time. Once you have found a qualified instructor, make sure to take your guitar lessons seriously. Everything you learn during the early stages of your career as a guitarist will affect you further down the line. The degree to which you master the basics determines how well you are able to pick up more complex techniques. If you are serious about learning to play the guitar well then be serious about learning the basics - your career as a guitarist depends on it.
