Learn To Use All Of Your Mental Faculties?

Have you ever noticed that most successful people are also naturally curious

. These people seem to use more of their brain. I am convinced that those who learn how to use more of their brainpower are more successful than you or I.This person wants to be in control of his or her environment and knowledge is power. People will seek out the person who has the answers when they need help. Curious people always seem to be one up on the rest of us. I once had a boss who was way ahead of his time. The thing that I learned about him was that he would process information coming from different sources at the same time. If you didn't understand him you would probably get offended when you talked to him because he never seemed to give you much attention. He would hear you but at the same time he would be thinking about something different. He was a little weird but he was a genius.

One of the first things that I look for in infants is curiosity. I know that a curious infant is also an intelligent infant. I look to see what the child does. Does the infant look around or does it just lay there? This is much like the scenario that I just mentioned. The mind of a curious infant learns to process. I like to continually feed information from various sources to my grandkids, and I encourage their parents to do the same. You cant overload the brain of a child or an adult for that matter. I just dont believe that it is possible. Now you may overtax a person with more than he or she is accustomed to physically handling, but I do not believe that you can overload anyone with knowledge. The curious child (or adult) will begin to manipulate the environment. This brings knowledge and the confidence which comes with being in control.

When we learn to engage our brains to use more of our God given potential. Perform brain exercises. Expand your activities. don't just settle for the same routine day in and day out. Don't be afraid to read and research various subjects. I had a job once when I was in the military where I had to monitor four different radio nets at the same time during battle. Not only did I have to listen but I had to stay on top of what was happening on each one to provide command and control. I found that I could do it. It was a definite challenge but it was exciting. I have found that I can listen to a conversation and perform a complex task at he same time. This may not sound like much to some of you but give it a try.

The curious person will know what is happening around them which will give them greater control over their environment. They will know where the immediate resources are that they can draw from and how to use them. They will know the strengths and weaknesses of the people around them and their capabilities.

You should always be aware of potential problem situations before they happen and make intelligent decisions to avoid them.

One of the exercises that I use from time to time is to pretend to be a police officer on patrol. Now as I drive along my eyes are moving around and Im not just looking at the road, but Im looking at the entire area. I look next to and behind buildings etc. I got the idea from a cop friend of mine who told me that when he was on patrol he would look for things that were out of place. You have to be familiar with your environment to know when something is out of place. You have to be constantly aware.

Develop a list of mental exercises that you can use to push your mind past your known boundaries. Don't forget to practice until the exercises become second nature Im sure that you can make your own list and use it for your daily mental exercises.

Once you have mastered the art of using your mindpower you will reap great benefits.
